Control Panel Builder

Location: Nashville, TN

NRT is looking for a Control Panel Builder to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of industrial control panel building including, but not limited to, gathering parts, reading electrical schematics, creating markers and labels for components, wiring the panel, and preparing the panel for testing.

If you have these qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities...

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) year experience in wiring and assembly of industrial control panels required
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC voltage from 24vDC to 600VAC required
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics required
  • Experience in sketching/redlining basic electrical circuits is a plus
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize work and meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision

And would be interested in these responsibilities...

  • Utilizing electrical schematics and Bill of Materials to identify all components needed to accomplish control panel assembly
  • Using tools to fabricate and wire panels including hand tools, measuring tools, drills, taps, digital multimeter, band saws, and jig saws
  • Communicating parts needs with Panel Shop Supervisor to ensure outages are avoided
  • Ensuring compliance with NEC, UL, and CE standards
  • Troubleshooting and documenting common problems with control panel build and installation
  • Providing electrical troubleshooting assistance to production group when needed
