BHS has an exciting opportunity for an Installation and Commissioning Technician.
In this role, you will ensure that projects from installation through performance testing are monitored and tracked to a level of completeness that will allow for modifications required to maintain project cost estimates as well as project schedules. You will monitor installation percent of completeness, commissioning percent of completeness, startup readiness and performance testing readiness. You will also alert the Director of Installation and Commissioning to any shortcomings in the respective area of responsibility. You are going to be taught the operational abilities to tune plants to hit optimal performance.
If you have these qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities . . .
- 3 years’ experience completing field service responsibilities required
- 3 years’ experience working with industrial equipment required, recycling equipment preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics required
- Experience with MS Project, Excel, and Procore or similar project management software required
- Ability to work effectively in installations, commissioning, startup, and performance testing required
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude; react well under pressure
- Maintain a high level of reliability and dependability
- Serve as a role model for integrity

- Working closely with customers, project managers, vendors, and contractors concerning project details and project scheduling
- Engaging in continuous improvement efforts both at company headquarters and on project sites
- Completing documentation to convey status to the Director of Installation and Commissioning Services
- Evaluating mechanical and electrical project installations and reporting percent of completeness as compared to the project schedule
- Working with project managers to ensure professional training of BHS systems to customer operational staff
- Utilizing the Install Percent Completion (IPC) document to evaluate installation completion readiness to ensure projects are 100% complete prior to commissioning activities
- Utilizing the Final Adjustments and Testing (FAT) and Site Adjustments and Testing (SAT) documents to evaluates commissioning readiness to ensure projects are 100% complete prior to startup activities
- Completing performance testing per outlined performance test protocols as defined by the Director of Installation and Commissioning services
- Traveling extensively (up to 80% at times) both domestically and internationally
