NRT’s innovative products are creating a massive demand in the marketplace.  Consumer and corporate mandates to increase recycling, reduce carbon footprint, and increase sustainability, coupled with a worsening labor shortage – these forces are the tailwinds behind NRT’s ambitious growth plans.  As a result, we are looking for a Southern California-based NRT Sales Manager.

The NRT Sales Manager reports to the NRT Managing Director located in Nashville, Tennessee.  The position plans and executes domestic sales for all NRT products, including optical sorters, Visual Identification System (VIS) units, MAX-AI robotic sorters, control systems and related services.  This role ensures products are sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain target profitability and sales volumes.  The Sales Manager continually evaluates the market opportunities for the NRT technologies, both within the current install base and by targeting new clients.

If you have these qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities . . .

  • Bachelor’s Degree (technical or business)
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience, preferably technical capital goods in a B2B market
  • Sales in the automation systems space a plus
  • Familiarity with the waste/recycling industry highly desired
  • Familiarity with basic contract content and language is desired
  • Negotiation experience (contracts and pricing) is desired
  • Good command of MS Office, specifically in Excel, Visio competency a plus
  • Excellent communication and strong advocate for process automation
  • Proven ability to collaborate on diverse teams, across time zones, to drive results a must
  • Ability to travel
  • Command of another language, particularly Spanish, is a plus

This position is based out of California.

And can handle these responsibilities . . .

  • Contribute to the establishment of the annual commercial business plan and budget
  • Achieve budgeted revenue targets within the assigned area
  • Proactively develop new initiatives to achieve or exceed the targets
  • Manage sales from lead generation to purchase order, monitoring progress through final customer acceptance
  • Contribute to achieving the determined sales budget
  • Identify and participate in conferences and other relevant trade shows
  • Organize reference visits to existing customers with high potential leads/customer
  • Generate new leads and close deals
  • Take the initiative to exceed customer expectations
  • Maintain and expand the network with NRT customers
  • Follow up on leads and quotes in a timely manner
  • Process and address customer questions and any complaints
  • Continuously track opportunities and deal status in the CRM system
  • Draw up quotations in close cooperation with sales support and manage issued quotations
  • Participates in the kick-off consultation when transferring a project from Sales to Operations
