BHS Names Steve Almond Sales Consultant for UK

Industry veteran to represent BHS product line, including Max-AI™

BHS Names Steve Almond UK Sales Consultant Web

Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) has named Steve Almond to the position of Sales Consultant for the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland. Almond has more than 25 years of sales management experience in the solid waste and recycling industry, including more than a decade of specialization in optical sensor technology. As a member of the BHS team, Almond will specialize in Max-AI™ technology, including the Max-AI AQC, and also represent the company’s other core separation solutions: BHS Tri-Disc™ screens and turnkey systems, Nihot air separators, and NRT optical sorters.

“When I saw the Max announcement and watched the video, I immediately knew that the technology was something our industry has been waiting for and something I wanted to be a part of,” said Almond. “I’ve visited hundreds of MRFs and they all have the same problems with staffing, high labour costs, health and safety risks, operational management and performance. BHS’ entire product line is first class, and the ability to manufacture and support all of the core technology provides truly unique value that I’m excited to share with my customers.”

“Beyond Steve’s extensive knowledge and experience with recycling systems, he’s really proven himself a thought-leader with an innate grasp of the industry as a whole – where it has been and where it’s headed – and he deeply understands our customers’ business models and financial drivers, “said BHS CEO Steve Miller. “With our industry under increased pressure to boost yield and purity, we’re fortunate to have someone of Steve’s caliber delivering the BHS solutions to meet this demand.”

Almond is a Chartered Waste Manager as qualified by the Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM). He will be representing BHS at RWM booth #5P31 September 12-14. The company will have a NRT SpydIR® optical sorter and a BHS Debris Roll Screen® on display, and is scheduling Max-AI technology presentations. Almond can be reached at +44 7572 755271 or via email.
