The BHS Bale Breakdown Unit (BBU) is designed to convert baled plastic into singulated plastic containers for effective processing downstream. The ruggedly-built BBU is constructed to withstand the demanding operating environment of today’s plastic processor. BHS meets this demand with the BBU-90 and integral infeed conveyor. Bales are fed onto the infeed conveyor with a forklift. From the optional workstation, an operator removes the baling wire before the bale is automatically fed into the debaling unit. The debaler creates singulated and smaller clumps of plastic containers. The material is then fed through the declumping rolls for final singulation of the containers from baled form.
Benefits
Increases throughput and system capacity
Effectively provides consistent singulated material feed into the processing system
Heavy-duty construction for decreased downtime and long operating life
Processing capacities up to 15,000 lb/hr
